Academic Challenge

RULES:

1) Enter College or High School Division by submitting an email with your Name, Age, School, CV, cell #, and Interests (Academic, Business, Athletic or Social).

2) Full Time or Part Time Student Status is OK. You don’t need to be school sanctioned.

3) One Hour of Competitive Academic Questions requested through webmaster@Sportademics.com.

4) During competition no books, conversing in any manner or accessory use of internet/cell phone or electronic device is allowed. Witness attestation by email and cell is required 15 minutes prior to start to assure that you are by yourself with only the attesting witness present. Witness may be a parent, guardian, teacher, classmate, friend, or employer.

5) Questions are from CORE standard subjects of Math, English (Rhetoric and Composition), Communications (Composition, Speech, Skills), Sciences ( Natural, Social, and Behavioral), Visual and Performing Arts, Art History, World/US History and Government, Business/Economics, Physical Education, Political Science, Humanities (literature, philosophy, modern and classical languages, religion, and cultural studies).

6) Questions simple in form and by answer are scored by accuracy at judge discretion – 90% understandable accuracy in typed submitted answer through chat line. One point for each correct score - alternating between opponents. Questions may be repeated. 30 seconds is allotted for answer. If question is missed or not answered as determined by judge chatting WRONG, the opponent has 20 seconds to respond for a point. Questions continue to alternate despite WRONG answers. Person who challenges first by interest (agreeing to participate) obtains the first question. There are no timeouts. Internet failure only suspends the contest for required time. We have one winner who maintains the Sportademics.com HS or College/Graduate School Academic Champion. Failure to respond to any challenge within one month from a win requires by rule the Champion to lose his Champion status. Questions are from actual teachers/professors based on COMMON knowledge within the subjects. No challenges to questions or answers will be entertained. Academic Challenge ends in an hour with a declared Champion. An e handshake for sportsmanship should occur by both parties subsequently. Champion will be cited on site: Sportademics.com.

7) Champions and Challengers both receive recognition/recommendation for a school, job, interview, or position where needed.

8) Moderator/Judge will maintain score on line. Fans may watch Sportademics.com Academic Challenge on line. Participants may compete from anywhere – preferably school environment.

9) Schools or individuals may challenge one another depending on bonified interest. Thanks for participating.
